Ashford Castle, County Mayo

For castle owners: a measured climate commitment

IMPT’s hotel tokenisation programme links hotel-stay vouchers to an agreed plan of practical improvements, lasting hotel benefits and measured emissions reductions. Here is the short version for castle hotels.

Programme information, not a saleThis page and IMPT’s own describe a proposed hotel-stay voucher and climate programme. Neither opens an offer or collects money. There is no deed transfer or property-value stress test; room capacity and the required identity, operating and legal checks still apply. Hotel-specific rights and legal treatment must be agreed.

The programme in figures

As IMPT illustrates it today. Every figure is agreed per hotel, and the illustrations are provisional.

8–15 yrshotel climate plan, agreed per hotel
10% a yearillustrated hotel-stay credits for voucher holders, not cash interest
5%programme service charge on gross voucher proceeds. No joining fee.
20%of gross voucher proceeds allocated to communications
USD 100of IMPT per verified room, owned by the hotel and exposed to token-price risk
1 week*target launch for ready hotels, after checks, approvals and notice periods

The current illustration shows 8% annual hotel cash payments for 12 years, with 15-year hotel benefits and climate obligations, plus a charge equal to 10% of the agreed interest amount. *The one-week target is conditional and is not an assurance of launch, sales or proceeds.

Plan the improvements, show the evidence

Old stone walls are expensive to heat. The programme is built around works a castle hotel can measure.

Rooms, not property stress tests

IMPT does not take deeds or stress-test the property’s value. It assesses bookable room availability and the capacity to honour voucher benefits.

Measured reductions

Solar, insulation, heating, cooling or water-saving works, each with a baseline, a budget and dated milestones, with independent verification reported every year.

Offsets kept separate

Offset purchases and retirements are reported apart from measured reductions. No carbon-neutral status or generic green certification is claimed for the hotel.

The questions owners ask first

Answers summarised from IMPT’s programme page. The full set, guides and a cost calculator are on impt.io.

Do I need this programme to list my castle hotel?

No. Listing stands on its own, on the same terms as every partner. A listed hotel may discuss the optional voucher and climate programme after project review. Unless a hotel is listed directly on IMPT it cannot use IMPT tokenisation.

Does any website here sell hotel vouchers?

No. This information describes a proposed programme; it does not open a sale or collect money. Rights, protections, legal classification and providers must be agreed before any approved purchase.

What is the USD 100 per room stake?

USD 100 worth of IMPT per verified room, owned by the hotel and exposed to token-price and liquidity risk. The final agreement must make the stake term explicit.

Are hotel credits the same as IMPT charges?

No. Voucher holders receive annual hotel-stay credits for 15 years, not cash interest. Separately, the hotel pays the programme charges set out in the agreement.

Does the hotel need a region?

Yes. For this programme the participating hotel group must own an approved, available IMPT region licence. Ordinary listing is separate.

List your castle on IMPT first.

Listing is free to start and stands on its own. Every booking made through IMPT also funds a verified tonne of carbon removal.
